| So i realized I haven't posted since May, and that was a while ago.... so here it goes. This summer was quite definately the most amazing summer of my life. from June 28 to July 29 I was at the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts, held at Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pa. That program was definately the most encouraging and most engaging program I have ever been to! Not only was the standard so incredibly high, the people, teachers and students alike, were AMAZING! They were always encouraging, never putting people down. It was so easy to thrive there and be truly myself. I didn't have to worry about being called weird because, trust me, there was plenty of weird to go around! After PGSA I went to Camp Ladore and worked there for a week as a lifeguard. It was the first step back into the world I knew after PGSA. It was a nice week, can't really say relaxing, but not quite as hectic. From there I went on to Territorial Arts Ministries Conservatory, which was also a great week. My drama scene for the week was actually a diologue and the two actors were Jason (my twin) and I. So it was nice, we didn't have to worry about working with people that either couldn't act, or we couldn't get along with, or both. After TAM I went on to Star Lake Musicamp, where I finally sat in the solo euphonium seat in Star Lake Band. It was an amazing week, I had some of the music I wrote led, I led the Contemporary Majors, and I got to be back at the place I love so much after not being there since 2003. Well then I came home and the rat race started again. I started school the day after I got home, and I've been going ever since. Labor Day Camp Meetings were a blast as usual, except for the rain the whole weekend. But it was nice to play with the Pendel Brass again, starting the new season off well. And that was my summer, the summer of '06 Joel | | |

to live is Christ, to die is gain you believe this, but you can't ignore your pain it's hard enough to make it through another day now you need someone to hear you when you pray
don't worry, child, I'm right here by your side i've been here all along, in me won't you abide is your grief too much to bear? give it to me i can heal your heart, your soul; i can set you free
when you wake up each day, my promises are new have faith in me, and i will see you through is your burden heavy? here, take mine, it's light my yoke is easy, come and have this life
so, you've fought until you've nothing left to give every ounce of energy, you have spent though your heart, it breaks inside, more than anything in life i long for you to know...
my child, i'm right here by your side i've been here all along, in me won't you abide is your grief to much to bear? give it to me i can heal your heart, your soul; i can set you free
i know the pain that this has caused i gave my son upon a cross no, nothing has been lost, believe in me
| Here is another of my rather infrequent, yet potentially noteworthy, posts. Life has been quite busy lately. I've been taking classes at community college, and i'm still swimming, plus I have alot of music still taking up most of my weekends and such. But things have been good. Jenna and I are still together... Almost six months now. I'm driving now, that a fun thing. And some other good stuff is that this summer i might be attending Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Performing Arts. That will be awesome if i make it in, but i don't find out till May 1st.
I've begun my college search, so those of you who live near New York City, Boston, Ithaca, or right here in Philadelphia... be warned. I may be coming your way fall of 2007. Make sure you're ready for me.
Well I hope to hear from all of you about how things are going. I really miss some of you.
